Cote d'Ivoire

In 2011, World Education began its work in Cote d’Ivoire with the Empowering Cocoa Households with Opportunities and Education Solutions (ECHOES) Program, an expansion of a partnership with the World Cocoa Foundation. Under ECHOES, World Education works closely with local NGOs to initiate and develop curricula for community-led literacy classes for adults and out-of-school youth in rural cocoa farming communities. World Education is one of few international organizations in Cote d’Ivoire that provides quality organizational and technical capacity-building support to local NGOs and civil society organizations in any sector.

Currently, World Education’s work in Cote d’Ivoire focuses on institutional capacity strengthening, early-grade reading, and youth and adult literacy.
