Joel Lamstein Receives Boston CEO Social Leadership Award
World Education President Joel Lamstein has been chosen as the recipient
of the 2009 CEO Social Leadership Award, a program funded
by the Lewis Family Foundation and given by the Boston
Business Journal. The award comes with a $25,000 donation
to be used for a social initiative.
"Joel Lamstein embodies the CEO who completely walks
the talk around social responsibility," said George
Donnelly, editor of the Boston Business Journal and a
member of the CEO Social Leadership Award selection committee.
Lamstein, who is also the founder and President of John Snow, Inc., a public health consulting firm, was selected for his commitment to both local
and global social issues. Of particular note in the nomination
was his support of Boston
Partners in Education, a nonprofit that provides
Boston Public School children with one-on-one volunteer
support.
Lamstein was honored at the Boston Business Journal's
annual Corporate Citizenship Summit on September 11,
2009. Prior to the Summit, New England Cable News interviewed
Joel. Watch
