James MacNeil oversees more than 20 projects in Myanmar, Nepal, Laos, and Cambodia that focus on early-grade reading and math, inclusive education, mine-risk education, nonformal education, child labor elimination, disability and inclusion, and livelihoods development. He also oversees a multicountry program that aims to improve supply chains for textbook distribution, and teaches a course on the role of community and parental engagement in early-grade reading at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. James has an Ed.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
