Approaches of the Expanded IMPACT Program in Zimbabwe

4Children was asked to develop a set of case studies to promote learning from OVC programs that have successfully designed interventions and approaches to increase HIV testing and services (HTS) for children. This case study examines The Bantwana Initiative's Expanded IMPACT Program (EIP)in Zimbabwe, which worked to improve HIV testing and services for children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV (OVC).

The EIP was designed to facilitate children’s access to HIV counseling, testing, enrollment into the continuum of care and treatment, adherence, and retention services. This case study highlights The Bantwana Initiative's approach, results, promising practices, and challenges and gaps. Catholic Relief Services, 4Children. 2017.
