Naya Bato Naya Paila or New Path New Steps (2009-20013) was a United States Department of Labor funded project to support the elimination of the worst forms of child labor (WFCL) in Nepal in six sectors: Domestic servitude, Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC), Zari Embroidery, Brick Factories, Portering, and Mining.
World Education oversaw services for 8,000 child laborers, preventing the entry of 7,000 children at risk (CAR) in the worst forms of child labor. Overall the project provided educational and other support to more than 20,000 children, giving them the opportunity to access education and other necessary services to prevent or remove them from exploitative child labor.
