Project Findings and Lessons Learned
From 2018 to 2023, the Strategic Approaches to Girls’ Education (STAGE) project worked to lower the barriers that girls face in achieving an education by providing formal and non formal education tracks, specifically targeting districts and communities where high levels of extreme poverty, in combination with deep-seated traditional and social norms, negatively impact women and girls.
STAGE reached over 17,000 girls through our Accelerated Learning Program, in which girls underwent functional literacy, numeracy, life skills, and vocational skills training, supporting them to receive an education and start businesses to generate income.
