Girls’ and Women’s Education

World Education, Inc.

World Education knows that education for girls and women is the single most effective way to improve the lives of individual families as well as to bring economic development to poor communities worldwide.

Our overarching drive is to enable girls and women to improve their own lives, the lives of their families, and the conditions in their communities. For parents—and especially mothers—this means creating conditions that ensure their daughters have equal access to basic education, are able to make informed decisions about their futures, and are able to protect themselves from trafficking, sexual exploitation, HIV, for example. World Education’s programs help girls enroll and stay in school and help women gain access to and create new educational, financial, and social resources in their communities.

But we don’t do it on our own. We partner with local groups on the ground, groups that know their own communities well, to build their capacity to design, manage, and evaluate the impact of community-based initiatives that advance the conditions of girls and women.

Since 1951, World Education has empowered millions of girls and women in more than 50 countries around the world.

Today, our focus includes technology in education, in even the most remote areas, so students can more effectively learn and be positioned to navigate their changing worlds, as well as livelihoods development, to ensure that young women have the skills they need to support themselves fully.

When we #BuildUpGirls,
we build up the world.

Be a champion for girl’s education!
