This year, we’ve witnessed a deep divide in access to quality education, deepened by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Facing new challenges early in the year, we ensured that people not only have virus-related information and care they need, but ongoing services as well.

In 2020, we were able to:

  • Educate 10,875 out-of-school girls in community learning centers in Ghana,
  • Provide more than 4,000 hours of free professional development for adult educators in the U.S. throughout the pandemic,
  • Deliver 204,627 textbooks and learning materials to schools in Benin,
  • Enroll 13,576 women in adult literacy classes in Egypt,
  • And so much more!

With the support of our funders, partners, and community of donors, we were able to increase access to education and opportunity, despite the pandemic, and broaden our reach more than ever before. Take a look at our impact highlights of 2020:

While there are still challenges ahead, we will continue to work to improve lives through education and create opportunity for people and communities around the world.
