Helen Sherpa is the key liaison with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, UNICEF, World Food Program, and other stakeholders. She has led development of World Education’s early-grade reading and math programs, as well as educational interventions for child laborers and children at risk in Nepal. Helen was involved in the management of SIWAG, the USAID-funded conflict-mitigation program, which reached more than 17,000 women in western Nepal with literacy, financial literacy, and income-generation interventions. She also had a key role in the development of the Schools as Zones of Peace Program. Helen is the author of numerous articles on education and health in Nepal, and has an MA in development studies from Massey University in New Zealand.
