Roopshree Joshi oversees the U.S. Department of Labor-funded Sakriya Project, which builds civil society capacity to end child and forced labor. Roopshree joined World Education Nepal in 2012 to work with anti-child labor and anti-trafficking programs. In 2019, she completed a large-scale intergenerational education program that reached 23,000 school girls and their mothers in the most disadvantaged districts. Roopshree has provided business and educational support to help returnee women from foreign employment reintegrate into their communities. She has an MBA with a specialization in finance and an MA in human rights and democratization from the University of Sydney.
