Sambedan Koirala has worked with World Education since 2010, and has developed and helps manage the education management information system (EMIS) in Nepal, which collects individual data on more than 8 million students. Samedan has been involved in numerous research projects, including Data Must Speak, which uses data to inform policymakers of persistent challenges in the education sector. He helped the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology prepare its next education sector plan. Sambedan has a MA in economics and an M.Phil in education development.
