Under the USDA McGovern-Dole International Food For Education (FFE) program, World Education is partnering with World Food Programme (WFP) to promote Khmer literacy of Cambodian children by working at the central level of the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS) and in school feeding districts in Kampong Thom and Siem Reap provinces. Under this cycle, World Education will frame its key activities in the following themes:

  1. Support development and roll-out of the early grade learning package, Komar Rien Komar Cheh (KRKC), including training for Grade 3 teachers and implementation of hybrid approaches to training for Grades 1 and 2 teachers.
  2. Building the capacity of school administrators and strengthening the new MoEYS early grade teacher mentoring system through training and on-the-job support for school-based and cluster-based mentors.

Activities will reach almost 1800 teachers, 562 mentors and all schools in school feeding districts of Kampong Thom and Siem Reap.
