Building on extensive experience in girls' education and women's empowerment and the ability to mobilize grassroots initiatives, World Education implemented the Ambassadors' Girls' Scholarship Program (AGSP) from 2004-2011 in 13 West African countries, including: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. This booklet highlights some of the stories of the scholars, mentors, communities, and NGOs touched by this program.

AGSP was funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the U.S. Africa Education Initiative (AEI). This publication was not supported with USAID funds nor does it necessarily reflect the views of USAID or the U.S. Government.
