Practitioner Research Training Guide: Research-based Adult Reading Instruction

Find Another Resource

The Minnesota Practitioner Research in Reading Project began as a joint project of the Minnesota Literacy Training Network and the NCSALL Connecting Practice, Policy, and Research initiative. Practitioners from across the state participated in the project. They took part in three training sessions developed by NCSALL to learn about current reading research and about the process of developing a research question, designing a project, collecting and analyzing data, and writing a final report. The pracitioners implemented a new approach to reading with their students, then collected and analyzed data in order to examine how the new approach worked. They wrote reports on their experiences and results in order to share their knowledge with others in the field.
