World Education’s Bantwana Initiative will feature their work on the Siyakha Girls Pilot project in an upcoming webinar on August 6, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. EDT.

This webinar, organized by the Bantwana Initiative and hosted by The SEEP Network, will highlight models and donor perspectives on fostering sustainable livelihoods for adolescent girls and young women. Banele Mandaza, Bantwana Zimbabwe’s Program Manager, will be presenting on the Siyakha Girls Pilot project.

This webinar will feature models and perspectives on economic empowerment, staying safe from violence, and HIV services for vulnerable adolescent girls and young women in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Program implementers and donors will share key challenges young women face and the pathways that can lead them to a meaningful livelihood. Panelists will also discuss how COVID-19 is both increasing the economic insecurity of young women and opening up new opportunities for virtual work in the digital economy.
