Remote ESOL Case Study: Fully Remote Workplace ESOL – English at Work, National Immigration Forum, Washington, D.C.

English at Work is a national initiative that offers industry-contextualized English language training that helps companies in urban, suburban, and rural communities build stronger career pathways for their employees. The initiative is part of the National Immigration Forum’s New American Workforce program.

This case study highlights the English at Work remote ESOL program design during COVID and student onboarding and persistence supports. It also highlights teachers' approaches, including their curriculum process chart, digital learning and supports for children's basic needs, among others, while also providing indicators for effectiveness.
