Huai-Ming Sanchez is the senior technical advisor in the Africa Division, focusing on early-grade literacy and numeracy, early childhood development, combatting child labor, adult functional literacy, and family literacy. Her expertise includes curriculum and materials development, teacher training, civil society capacity development, mobile-based solutions, gender inclusion, and public-private partnerships. Huai-Ming has worked extensively on programs in francophone West Africa. She also provides technical assistance to the USAID/Egypt Literate Village program. Huai-Ming has a BS in bioengineering from University of California, Berkeley, and an M.Ed. in learning and teaching from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
